1938 International
D300 COE
This 1938 International D300 COE is owned
by Ian Hinks in Victoria
Engine Number is HD-232-A 2608 on
passenger side of block.
Army Number 16490. This is painted in
white on the front of the vehicle between the air vent and /or radiator filler flap.
Notes: A: it has the early style
Army Pintle hook (small) on spring type mounting to chassis.
B:
it has a provision for one spare spark plug to be screwed into
a holder in the Engine
compartment.
C:
it has no hole where the '3 Diamond' badge would have
been attached, if it were a civilian model.
This
hole would have been in the centre of the area where the Army
number is painted
D:
Traces of camouflage pattern in khaki and black under
what appears to be a hastily
applied
coat of Red paint which was very thin.

With thanks to Ian Hinks for this information.)
