52 Ford Mercury COE

The steering is a big problem on the 47’s as you know
and I looked at a lot of different one and photos
and didn’t like what I saw, some cut and modified the frame
where others cut and rewelded steering parts,
I tried 3 different frames and rack steering setup’s but
nothing seemed to work out for me.
I happened to look on KIJIJI on afternoon and here was
this 52 for sale 25 kms away.
I jumped at that one and bought it right the same day as
soon as I saw it.

Separating the Fenders from the Cab is just one of the tasks
required.

The last time the hood will be attached for a while, notice
the Mercury (Canada only) name

I should have kept track of how many times I changed
things and had the cab off and on,
not like the tv shows where they take it off once and put it
on and everything fits.
I started out with a truck frame and a 350/350 carb engine
sitting up at the front, then behind the cab.
Didn’t like that combo. Got a Motorhome frame and
started over
again,
