I bead rolled the storage box panels to match the bodylines
of the COE cab and the splash aprons.
The front panels were curved using a borrowed shrinker
/ stretcher tool the curve the 3/4” wide flanges.
I had to shrink the flanges over a two inch length
and then lightly work the center section over a
wooden buck to make the bead rolls conform to the radius.
Then repeat the operation over and over again.
They took a whopping 16 hours to bend and fit correctly.
While I had the borrowed shrinker / stretcher tool, I
decided to make new corner pieces for the splash aprons.
All I need to do is add the center metal and weld them
together.
I enjoyed working with the shrinker / stretcher
tools so much, I asked for a set for my birthday.
