So I removed the one ring of the coil and refitted it with this result
The ideal height for my COE would be with the running board 8" from the round,
with the Cut Coil it now sits at 7 1/2", so I shall obtain another pair of Coils and try again,
this time fitting them and letting them settle before any cutting takes place.
