This funny looking part is actually the centre firewall section made from a 54 Chevy Door Skin
And here is the view from the interior side, the section on the right is that shape to clear the E Brake pedal
Here is the Firewall section in place, this will need to be modified a bit more yet
And now you can see the reason for the curve in the firewall, the Floor Board will be cut out to the shape
of the Firewall, the reason is to allow the hot air to escape from behind the radiator.
