What you see here is where the Radio /Stereo will be mounted.
It will be recessed about 1 1/2" in so that the cover can still be closed with the music on
These holes are for the idiot warning lights, between the Alfa Instruments that I am using
there is a section that houses these lights but the faces are all faded, so they will remain hidden
with only the glow of the lights coming through the holes, that's the plan anyway !!
This is the cover that will go over the Stereo and will make it seem like there is no Radio.
This is how it will be hinged, although it does flex a bit and it may require a stiffer hinge.
Now I have been searching for a powerful enough magnet to hold the cover in place
and I have finally found one, a neodymium magnet or rare earth magnet.
This small magnet is so powerful that it takes quite a bit of force to release it.

So that the magnet would be flush with the outer surface it needed to be recessed
and glued in, this was done with epoxy bond
A new hinge was made that was a bit thicker so as to eliminate the flex,
just a bit more tidying up is required before I am happy with it.
