I wanted a different gear stick for my COE and Rod
Drabsch had one in SA from an early Ford
So thanks Rod
The bottom ball section was removed and a new bung
was machined up and TIG welded on
And it was all made to fit inside the cut of
Ford Trader Gearshift
The Gear shift was then heated and bent to clear the
seat and also the dash
On the left you can see the red pool ball knob, after
it was ready it was sent to Dubbo Electroplaters for
chroming
After getting quotes in Sydney at $155 !! Dubbo could do
it for $30, a big difference !!!
So now the new gearshift does the job of selecting gears
very nicely
