I made the wheel arc for the right side door out of 16 gauge …. mainly because that is
where a lot of the load of the door gets transferred back to the hinge side.
Worked out well …. albeit a big load for my “el cheap” tin bender.
Got it done though, and now will start the last piece for that arc …..
an arc that will form the edge surface for the D’s inner door tin to attach to.
It will be attached to the first arc with either spot welds or rivets??
Hmm It will be done in 16 gauge as well, since that too works to carry a lot
of the door load. Everything else I'll form up will be in 18 Gauge

And here is the piece in place

And how the door fits into it

And the LH Side
panel being which is being removed from a normal truck cab

As you can see, this will be trimmed for use in the D Cab

More will be trimmed of this Cab as required

And once it was cleaned up and trimmed it fitted like this

very nice indeed.

and the other side as well

Sure is an easy way to get rid of any rust

A view from the top

I think that you have seen enough angles now to know this will fit neatly.
