Time to rebuild the door hinges,
the above hinge pins had too much play so had to
be renewed
So Bob tried to find a set of replacement
pins
He was successful in finding some but I
don't know where he got them or what they were from
notice the C Clip holding them in place
A view of the hinge in the upright
position
The threads in the door pillars plate were
beyond repair so they were threaded to 3/8"
but this meant the heads would be sitting proud of
the hinges,
So after enlarging the chamfer for
the 3/8 csk cap screw
The Door pillars threads were enlarged to 3/8"
And the hinges were trial fitted in place
And with a dial indicator they were
properly aligned
And
the process was repeated for the lower hinge Back To next page
