Spotted the reason yet, Mirrors !!

What do you think of these mirrors?  I heated and bent the stock mirror arms down and back.
I am also thinking of putting another bend in them so the last three or four inches of the mount arm is level with the ground.
On the close-up of the mirror arm, there is a dark mark where I would bend them level.
I am also thinking of using the mounting bolt to mount the convex mirrors.

With the stock mirror arm position, there were two problems.  I found that the mirrors were so high (and small) that when pointed to see traffic behind me,
I could not see the back of the bed.  When I pointed them downwards towards the bed corner, then I could not see behind me.
 I
t was also impossible to see the passenger side mirror in the stock location as it is hidden from view by the windshield post.
That’s why I bent them several inches backwards.

I’ve seem the stick-on mirrors too, but I’d rather not cover any mirror surface since there is so little to start with.
Judging from this picture below, there is not much room to mount a convex mirror, so I might have to use the stick on after all.

Here is the view of my mirror on the passenger side from the driver’s seat.
