Working on creating the curved panel for the
sail...Truck tailgate made a good workbench for my slip roll.
I had to sacrifice my SS wire brush to clean off the
years of dust from the threads to make it easier to operate.
Once I got the first one done, the second was easy and quick.

I worked on my boxes
today. Cut off the old back panel and fit the
new panel in it's place.
You can see how I have room to
relocate the rear spring mounts
now. It does not take too much away from
interior space either.
I also mocked up the sail
panel. The sail panel will have a curved
back surface and be entirely closed in.
I am thinking I should make a
large access hole from the sail into the main
box. Why? I don't know, it just seems
like I should.
I also threw in a picture
of the primed frame brace. It is not welded
into place yet. I just bolted them on for the
move from St Louis.
I changed the shape
of the sail panel to the top
design. I also bead rolled a step
into the very back edge to give me a place to change
from undercoating to finished paint.
The bottom shape is
what I originally planned but it kept looking too
small, too refined and out of
scale compared to the scale of the overall box.
