The truck sports a Ford 400M V8
and a Ford C6 Automatic Transmission.
It has retained the E350 front I beam suspension with
Hydro-Boost Power Front
Disc Brakes, and of course Power Steering.
We kept the original E350 differential.
Because we needed to move the engine & tranny
much lower & further back
to create a very comfortable cabin, some other changes were
also required.
The
weight shift caused a camber alignment issue
that we had to correct with some front suspension
modification to eliminate tire rub.
Now it steers & handles extremely well and rides
remarkably quiet & comfortable.
The engine runs fantastically cool thanks to the
custom built aluminum radiator.
It is definitely road worthy and feels very much at
home on the freeway or surface streets.
You just have to be constantly aware & cautious of the
many curious onlookers.

The other contributions to this project
were:Engine re-manufactured
by our engine technician Mike Tintos.
Engine machining by John Baxter. The truck's
electrical by our electrician Roman Salcedo.
The sweet Flowmaster exhaust system by our local wizard Ed
Hanson. Suspension, Steering, & Brakes by Ed
Leon.
. We have been specializing in Classic Car
& Truck Upgrades & Modifications for many years.
Disc Brake & Power Steering Conversions have been a
very large part of what we do.
Hopefully this information will be of
some use to you & we will be sure to send you any
updates and progress pictures in the future.
Thanks for you interest,
