I drove the COE to it's
first car show about 1/2 hour away at the local Naval
Base,
I was waiting in line with all the other entrants when the
engine stopped, it was getting a bit hot but not boiling,
Of course it would not start again, Grrrrrr,
so one of the organisers called over a few of the Naval Cadets
and in no time they were pushing my
2.5 Ton Truck into the show.
The COE did receive a lot of
favourable comments and had a lot of photo’s taken by the
public

Looks quite good if I do say so myself, notice the new
Briz bumper

After the show was over I tried to start
the COE but it wasn't going to start and I had some of the
best mechanics in the district looking it over
as they were entrants in the show, so
one of them asked me turn it over while having the
distributor cap of,
Hmm he said, it seems the rotor isn't turning so we
extracted the distributor to find 3 teeth missing of the
distributor gear
and it turns out that the Oil Pump had seized , just
great, so call a tilt tray truck and take it home, another
$120 down the drain !!!
My son did warn me that the Engine had had a hard
life, so we have agreed it is his fault (grin)
